Experiential Education Works...A new survey of K-12 principals from the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) demonstrates growing research showing the benefits of social-emotional learning for student well-being, graduation rates, and academics.

...But Educators aren't Doing ItSchool leaders see students' social and emotional development as important factors in school success but only 35 percent of principals surveyed said their school was fully implementing social-emotional learning into policies and classroom work.

We Wanted to Find Out Why Not?
CASEL surveyed 884 educators and found the following needs
NEED #1: Time71% of teachers surveyed by CASEL stated time is the biggest barrier to implementing social emotional learning within their schools

NEED #2: Resources59% of teachers surveyed stated there is a lack of funding and resources dedicated to social emotional learning in their schools
|
NEED #3: Knowledge60% of teachers surveyed stated they need more training to support social emotional learning within their classrooms
