Kikori's Social Mission:
Building a More Peaceful World Through Experiential Learning

Our Mission
At Kikori, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, connected, and empowered. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to ensure that educators and youth around the world - especially those in under-resourced and conflict-affected communities - have access to meaningful social-emotional learning (SEL) tools that build peace, empathy, and belonging.

A Peace Event is a community gathering—hosted at a school, nonprofit, or even at home—that brings people together to practice peace in action. Through cooperative games, reflection, and storytelling, participants celebrate differences, develop social-emotional skills, and take steps toward becoming more empathetic, inclusive humans.
Every Peace Event is unique. You might:
-
Host a half-day workshop focused on inclusion and kindness
-
Lead a Peace Week Challenge with daily school-wide activities
-
Facilitate a Family Peace Night with SEL activities and reflection games
-
Celebrate International Day of Peace with community-wide participation
-
Peace Events help communities:
-
Promote peace education and awareness of nonviolent solutions
-
Build stronger classroom and school-wide communities
-
Strengthen family-school connections through shared SEL experiences
-
Offer students space to discuss current events with empathy and perspective
-
Make peace-building feel joyful, engaging, and fun
Whether you're an educator, nonprofit leader, or family facilitator, the Peace Packet provides practical tools and inspiration to bring your community together around what matters most: peace, connection, and belonging.

Experiential Learning Roots:
Kendra Bostick’s journey into experiential learning began through her work with the Play for Peace team. She introduced Play for Peace clubs into her schools, expanding the impact of their methodology locally. Kendra also had the opportunity to join Play for Peace in Costa Rica, collaborating closely with Sarah Gough, founder Craig Dobkin, and Dr. Mike Gass, a professor and expert in experiential education, to support the Costa Rica Play for Peace club.
Key Collaborators:
Sarah Gough, a longtime leader at Play for Peace, continues to serve as one of Kikori’s key advisors, providing invaluable guidance in shaping our programs. Together, we have designed and implemented numerous initiatives, including special Play for Peace events that bring our communities together.

Our Partnership
Since the launch of Kikori, Play for Peace has been a foundational social mission partner. In fact, Play for Peace activities were the very first experiential learning programs featured on the Kikori platform, reflecting our shared commitment to fostering empathy, collaboration, and peace through play.
