Two weeks ago, we shared out five of our favorite reflection activities for the end of 2020, designed to facilitate contemplation and new learning from old experiences. Now, with 2021 beginning, we want to help you focus on the present, and there’s no better way to do so than with some mindfulness exercises!
Mindfulness is all about taking in the current moment, especially when it can be easy to linger on the past or worry about the future. It can be practiced in a vast variety of ways, ranging from meditation to exercise to even just taking short breaks. Furthermore, maintaining this mental state can have significant benefits for you and your students, such as increased focus and reduced anxiety, so time invested into mindful activities now will continue to support student success for months to come.
