Your Kikori WP... because all of our brains need a break sometimes!
“There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither” - Alan Cohen
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Kikori to any who may be celebrating the holiday! We hope, at the very least, that you are taking some time during this long weekend to rest, relax, and recharge before the final push of the 2020 school year in December. This break had us thinking though: wouldn’t it be nice if we could spend a part of every day doing something to help ourselves recuperate just a little? In that spirit, we are bringing you five of our favorite brain break activities in this week’s activity shareout!
Brain breaks are games or exercises that are meant to give students the chance to focus on something besides school work throughout the day. What you do for this break can vary -- our list includes activities like meditation, singing, and jumping - but the effect it has on youth remains the same: reduced stress, increased focus, and more productive learning overall!
